You just need to wait for it to complete. The EVGA X1 software ver 1.2.6 which was already installed on this PC - recognized the new GPU & advised an update to the firmware. My Nvidia driver was already new enough to see this card in my X570 build. The 3090 might have up to a 5% performance edge but, boy do you p ay a lot more (~50%) for that tiny bump in performance No issues, plug & play, used HDMI cable. show moreĮVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra - simply the best value in a performance GPU Amazed that Amazon was the seller & shipper with 6% discount time of purchase, then my Amazon Prime & CC 5% "credit" made this a great value for this graphics card. Hot spots and mem temps maxing around 54c (I have two low flow 120s set up to blow directly on this card so the fans never even have to kick on) My reason for purchasing this card and not a lower tier card for playing at these settings can be summed up by the following analogy: I'd rather buy a Ferrari and cruise around in it at 70mph, knowing that if push comes to shove I can drive it at 140 every once in a while just for fun, than buy a Prius that I'm red-lining just to get where I'm going on time, worrying that any day it will crap out on me. People say that these cards pull a lot of power and run hot, but at these settings, in brief stress tests I'm seeing 60c on the hotspots/mem with the power ceiling hitting the 65% 288w max pulled In everyday long gaming utilization I see it top out around 190w at these settings. ![]() ![]() 775 volts and have capped my power limit 65% of max. I have a custom curve set in MSI afterburner to limit my clock speek to 1710 mhz. "But isn't this overkill for those settings?" Absolutely! I bought this card so that I could undervolt and underclock it. My happy gaming spot is ultra graphics, 1080p 60hz (Fps) if I can game at these settings and not see a single dip in my frames, I'm a happy camper. Let me start off by saying, in this day and age, I'm not looking to game on the bleeding edge of graphics. I have my build in a Coolermaster HAF XB EVO and in order to fit this card, I had to move my fans t o the outside of my case, leaving only the 240mm radiator inside. The 1080 Ti is still a beast of a card make no mistakes, but I couldn't pass this up at this price. Also I put my 3080 ti xc3 ultra in my msi meg trident x 10th and getting temps around 77°c while gaming but I can set custom fan curve on px1 or set it to aggressive but it runs my fans to about 80% at times is there any other better small itx cases I could transfer to, to get better temps evga says 76 to 77° while gaming is fine but that is toasty and pretty consistent with temps I see off most people with this card but any good reccomendations that I could transfer components from msi meg trident 10th it has z490i unify mobo I think and would like a case to support at least 240mm rad at top which is where I prefer mounting them but any good case recommendations would be greatly appreciated or does temps mentioned above seem ok if I set aggressive fan curve the fans never drop below 40% don't know how good that is for my gpu to continuously be running like that.So I hesitantly pulled the trigger on this card $1089.99 coming from a 1080 Ti. Anyways to OP congrats on your new card as ftw3 should be little better than my xc3 because you got more headroom for overclocking. I mean I used the card on 34 inch msi ultrawide 144hz and with vsync enabled got 144hz and would push above with those same settings. All my settings are set to high or ultra with rt on but even disabling raytracing doesn't get me that magical 240hz. ![]() I just bought alienware aw2721d 240hz panel and can't seem to only touch 170 fps and hover around 144 fps with dips below that is this a problem with my monitor because you would think 3080 ti could max out 240hz on a 27 inch 1440p panel. I got evga 3080 ti xc3 ultra but paid scalper price on it but I have a question not sure if this is correct forum.
